250 years after the Declaration of Independence was ratified at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, our Republic is now hanging by a thread. The inalienable rights expressed in our Declaration of Independence and in our Bill of Rights are being trampled on by those elected officials who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution.
Rather than forming a more perfect union, our citizens are being divided and turned against one another by incendiary propaganda in the mainstream and social media. Judges who sought to uphold justice are being fired and replaced by political hacks. Rather than seeking peaceful relations with other nations, as President George Washington advised in his Farewell Address, we are now governed by the tyrannical philosophy that “might makes right.”
The government of the United States depends on the consent of the governed. If we do not act and if we do not speak, our consent is taken for granted.
“The state must never become, in any way, the property of a governing class of oligarchs, but a state whose will must be subordinated to the world-historical national interest of all members of the nation, and also humanity as a whole, as reason defines that interest.”
–Lyndon LaRouche, 1998
