Foreign Policy

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.

My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.

— John F Kennedy, January 20, 1961 inaugural address

The foreign policy of the United States of America must be informed by the principles expressed in our Declaration of Independence and in the US Constitution. This means recognizing that every human being on the planet is born with equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This also means respect for the inviolable sovereignty of each nation.

As the then Secretary of State, John Quincy Adams warned in his July 4, 1821 address, the United States must not seek abroad for monsters to destroy. Diane will not engage in regime change wars, kidnapping foreign heads of state, or arming nations that are committing war crimes, including genocide.

Diane believes that America’s security depends first and foremost on having a stable domestic situation with a robust and secure middle class supported by abundant and reliable energy, modern water management and transportation, and a functioning healthcare system.

Diane agrees with the 10 principles as outlined by Lyndon LaRouche’s widow, Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche.

The greatest area of growth on the planet is going to be the continent of Africa. It is in the interest of the United States to collaborate with Russia, China, and other nations that are working respectfully with African leaders to develop that continent as a whole.

American foreign policy must begin with the recognition that colonialism is dead.
